Autumn memories

Amber leaves like memories

Vanish in the blowing wind,
Forsaking the naked trees
That weep over their lost beauty.

In the blowing wind,
Carrying his memories
In a pair of trebling palms,
A blind man walks.

The autumn memories
Of wrinkled branches
Rustle under his feet
In a silent symphony.
They get lost…
Trampled with boots,
Covered with mud,
Crumpled and crushed.

But he doesn’t see.

The man walks on
And carries
His memories
In hands wet with tears.
Till the autumn wind
Snatches the trembling palm
And pitches the memories,
Loves, and dreams
Into the cold mud.

Crumpled and crushed.
